Introduction

Welcome to Strickler & Prieto LLP (‘SP’). This Privacy Statement explains how SP will use the personal information we collect about you when you register with the site.

Please note that SP contains links to other sites, including sites maintained by affiliates of Strickler & Prieto LLP and third party organizations. These sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You are responsible for familiarizing yourself with the privacy policies of any site you visit when clicking on a link on the SP site.

Information Collection and Use

In order to successfully register and gain access to Strickler & Prieto LLP's  website, first-time users are asked to provide their full name and email address. This information is used to verify your identity each time you log in to the SP site. You also have the option to submit additional information such as telephone number, the name of your company and your professional position. In addition, external (i.e. non-SP) users are required to provide three freely chosen secret questions and answers that will be used for validation purposes when users contact Strickler & Prieto LLP for technical or other support.

SP uses “cookies” (small text files stored in a user’s browser) to identify users when they connect to the site and to facilitate improved navigation within the site. A user’s browser must be enabled to allow cookies in order to access the site. Upon successful login a session cookie that contains information needed to identify and validate individual users is created and placed on the user’s machine. This cookie expires after the user has ended the SP session.
In addition, to make sure that the SP site is well managed, we or our service provider(s) may use Web tracking devices to capture aggregate and individual user information. We may use this information to identify users by items such as IP address, user name, domain and browser type. We may also collect information about user behavior, such as date and time of visit,  frequency and length of visits, and a user’s destination upon exiting the SP site. This information will assist us in gaining a better understanding of how users utilize the SP site, and how to improve the site. The information collected is reported to our Webmasters who use it only for administration of the SP website.

It is SP policy not to share your information with affiliates or third parties for secondary or unrelated purposes without first notifying you and receiving explicit permission.

Your information will be stored in a secure database in the United States and the United Kingdom. A limited number of SP partners, personnel, agents and service providers around the world may access your information for specific SP related purposes such as site administration, monitoring and technical support. This may include transfer to countries without data protection rules similar to those in effect in your country. By registering for SP you are consenting to such transfers.

Where necessary to comply with applicable legal or regulatory obligations or requests, your personal information may be disclosed to law enforcement, regulatory or other government agencies, or third parties.
